Wendy Smith heads a Professional Team of
Highly Dedicated Qualified Registered Nurses and
Care Assistants who are on duty Twenty Four Hours a day to provide all
the Care and Attention that you might need. All staff receive regular training and are well qualified to look after the Medical, Physical and Emotional well-being of our residents.
All our residents are encouraged to do as much as they can for
themselves, thereby remaining active both physically and mentally, we
find that the more our residents able to do for themselves, the happier
they are. Meals are served in the Dining Room or if you wish, in our own room. Old fashioned Home Cooking using the finest fresh produce is the order of the day with a varied and nutritious menu and special diets if required, we always try to cater for likes and dislikes as well It is our policy that residents should only be on the minimum medication they require, residents retain their own doctor, unless they come from out of the area, in which case they will be well cared for by the home's GP, there is a regular surgery for all residents and all medication is looked after by our Registered Nurses and your own Doctor, a detailed plan is also agreed for your personal care. |

![]() Our 'Roman' Summerhouse Edwardian Summerhouse built of all sorts of marked Roman stones from the nearby huge 1st/2nd Century Fort of Trimontium
The
story is that Mr Roberts, the Edwardian owner of what was Drygrange House
took cartloads of stone from the 1st/2nd Century Trimontium Roman Fort
nearby and had them built into a
summer house. |
![]() The three 'pillars' to the front have a Roman Stone 'Basin' or a Roman Drain at waist level, the niche above the middle 'pillar' is now empty (it must have held a statue of some sort - but no old photos have yet been found to show it) The walls are totally made of bits and pieces of Roman Masonry and Stonework. (Not something that Historic Scotland would encourage today) (The large doors fitted are to protect the interior) |
